Attention all Moms! Enter The Fourth Annual North County Surf Mama Contest: No Experience Necessary!

Last Mother’s Day we crowned two of the “Most Deserving” North County residents and Moms, Harmony Reynolds and Linda Cortez, “2009 North County Surf Mama.” By being two of the “Most Deserving” North County Moms they each won over $1,000 in prizes, including private surfing lessons from Brent Steven’s Encinitas based Icon Management Company and Dawn Patrol. Icon is a sports industry management group that develops action sport athletes. Dawn Patrol is their surfing school.

In addition to free surfing lessons Harmony and Linda both won great surfing gear from Hansen Surfboards, new custom made bikinis from Sunny Sky’s Bikinis, a shopping spree from Albertsons in La Costa, a facial at the Spa at the La Costa Resort, a Scrub and Vichy at Spa Violet, a Hair and makeup makeover at Headlines for Hair, organic hair and skin products from Eufora, dinner for two at D Street Bar and Grill, a massage at Massage Envy, tickets to concerts at the House of Blues, tickets to the San Diego Zoo, and bottles of wine from Wine Street. And, this years prizes are already stacking up to make this our biggest contest ever! Last year, Harmony was nominated by her husband, and Linda was nominated by one of her co-workers. Two years ago, our winner was nominated by her teenage stepdaughter. So, as you can see, just about anyone can win!

All you need to do is send us an email to info@HotinNorthCounty.com telling us why you or someone you know deserves to be one of our next two 2010 North County Surf Mamas. A panel of judges, with the help of our sponsors, will select two winners. In addition to the free surf lessons, surf gear, products, and services, our two Surf Mamas will be featured in an article with photos in both the La Costa Breeze, and the North County Sun newspapers, on posters, and on www.HotinNorthCounty.com.

Contestants must be 1) A North County resident 2) A deserving Mom 3) Over the age of 18. Some restrictions will apply. Your email address, letter, and photos will not be published without written consent, and in turn, will not be shared with any other business or agency, Terms and conditions and prizes are subject to change. Your email must include the following: 1) Type in subject line: Surf Mama Contest 2) Description in 600 words or less, why this North County Mom deserves to be our next North County Surf Mama. Note: We accept ONLY Microsoft Word Documents. 3) Attach no more than two recent photos of the Mom (by herself, with her family, or both). Don’t delay!
