SEA LIFE Aquarium's new exhibit, Sharks Revealed, is the place for everyone curious about sharks. Find out about the history and evolution of these mysterious creatures. And if you still have questions like, “What’s up with those crazy teeth?” a shark expert will be on hand to increase your shark knowledge. Interactive discovery zones and touch pools help make SEA LIFE the perfect way to introduce children to the wonders of the aquatic world.

Sharks, the king of the oceans, swim the wide, open seas, in danger of becoming extinct. They are commonly misunderstood as vicious and ruthless creatures, but the 360 known species are essential to the ocean’s ecosystem. The Great White Shark, Leopard Shark, and Blue Shark are a few of the many native sharks indigenous to our Californian Coast.

Many shark species are endangered for a variety of reasons; the demand for the delicacy shark fin soup. Sharks are hunted only for their fins and then thrown back into the ocean. Another big problem is the pollution of the seas with trash, plastic, and chemicals. To save these amazing creatures, the public must be educated and made aware of the importance of sharks in the sea’s delicate ecosystem. An incredible amount of trash reaches our oceans. You can do your part by recycling, and not polluting the ocean. The sea’s ecosystem and food chain are counting on you!

Enter our Save the Sharks Drawing Contest!

It’s easy to enter our SEA LIFE™ Aquarium at LEGOLAND® California Resort Save the Sharks Drawing Contest. Submit a drawing of your favorite shark(s) on an 8.5 x 11 standard sheet of paper. You may use any type of coloring tool for your shark drawing including: pencil, pen, marker, crayon, water color, and pastel. Please make sure the child’s name, address and phone number are clearly printed on the back of the drawing. Age groups are 4-5 yrs, 6-7 yrs, 8-9 yrs, 10-11 yrs and 12-13 years old.
