The 29th summer season opens with the Broadway musical comedy production “42nd Street.” Based on the classic 1933 movie musical, “42nd Street” is a delightful backstage story, which features talented tappers and hoofers bringing to life the show's legendary songs like "We're in the Money," Shuffle Off to Buffalo," and "Lullaby of Broadway." The first show of the summer runs July 15 through August 1.
Next up is Arthur Kopit and Maury Yeston's "Phantom," based on the epic novel "The Phantom of Opera" by Gaston Leroux. "Phantom" is the dark and romantic tale of one man's search for love and beauty in the opulent Paris Opera House and the vast catacombs that lie beneath. The show performs August 12 through 29.
Moonlight's third and final show of the season is "Cats," the longest-running show in Broadway history. The irresistibly whimsical story features an ensemble of fantastically costumed felines, who gather for their annual ball. The musical, set to Andrew Lloyd Webber's playfully eclectic and richly melodic score, will appear onstage from September 9 through 26.
